Greta is a Registered Nurse and healthcare leader with 25 years of experience caring for humans, with 15 years spent
in nursing / patient experience leadership.
Previously, Greta was a nurse leader, patient experience executive, and system lead for the emerging Nurse Leader professional development program within the Geisinger Health System until 2018. Following her dynamic role at Geisinger, she served as Director of Program Strategy, a Relationship-Centered Communication © facilitator and coach, and leader of the patient engagement and patient partnership infrastructure for the Academy of Communication in Healthcare (ACH). Through her work with ACH, which is a nonprofit academic organization that provides training and support to organizations such as Baylor Scott & White, Cleveland Clinic, Wake Forest, University of Iowa Health System, Yale, and Stanford, Greta was instrumental in enculturation of evidence-based communication skills within teams and organizations nationally, resulting in notable outcome improvements, before transitioning to a client advisor role in 2021.
Through her consulting firm, Radius Leaders LLC, Greta supports bedside and senior nurse leaders to build or refine attainable, specific experience competencies and best practices for teams and patients. Her professional passion centers on Nurse Leader Rounding and the multi-faceted impact of evidence-based rounds on patient experience and staff engagement outcomes. Greta has worked with the Temple University Health System, CHI (now Dignity), UPMC, Jefferson, Lehigh Valley Health Network, Evangelical Community Hospital, Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders, and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders to offer presentations, singular and multi-day interactive workshops, and extensive PX and nursing leadership strategic support. Her organizational support has included workshops, training, PX strategy support and leadership, emerging Nurse Leader program development and support, 1:1 coaching, and keynote speeches – all aimed to build nursing leadership competency and reconnect others with their purpose as leaders within their institutions.
Greta has co-authored multiple studies about nursing professionalism, emerging nurse leader program impact, communication skill training outcomes, and has contributed to multiple publications with articles on authentic leadership and patient experience. She currently serves as a peer reviewer for the Journal of Patient Experience and is also a certified Crucial Conversations © facilitator. Most importantly, she is a partner to Shawn, her husband of almost 20 years, and a parent to three sons – Wesley, Charles, and Raymond.
Her vision is that every human that enters a healthcare setting, for work or for healing, is treated with empathy and a consistent level of outstanding care, driven by the most competent, compassionate nurse leaders at the center.
